6th Grade Portfolio

Summary & Deadlines

In the 6th grade, students prepare to identify when & how growth happens in their classes as a result of projects and assignments. They will be building a webpage using HTML coding to reflect on their successes and struggles throughout the school year.

This year, the portfolio is a webpage that is coded using HTML. The students will present to their peers during STEM Foundations class at the end of 3rd quarter. The webpage consists of the basic portfolio structure of student’s experience, reflection, artifacts and growth in coding and within content.

Debriefing & Reflection

Students will create 2 debriefings over the course of the year (1st quarter and 2nd quarter) for each class. In 3rd quarter, students will choose one of the debriefings to develop into a Reflection (which takes the form of an essay). One artifact from the debriefing will be chosen as the representative artifact of growth from that project or learning endeavor.

The finished webpage will contain bullet points highlighting the main ideas of the reflection as well as an image of the chosen artifact.

"How can I reflect on my work using claim, evidence, and reasoning?"
